The New 7.3-Liter V8 SuperDuty

Coming soon is the new 2020 “Godzilla” 7.3-liter V8 SuperDuty…. Ford just keeps bringing all sorts of surprises this year and we have a feeling there are even more to come.

Ford is bringing an all-new V8 engine to it’s line of the F-Series Super Duty trucks… How exciting is that? According to Ford, this new 7.3-liter engine will be familiar to fans of Ford. It will be different though, with the feature of a cam-in-block pushrod design that helps to create a much more compact package while being less complex compared to the engine before it.

The new SuperDuty has gained a nickname know to be “Godzilla” due to the new power it is bringing to it’s class. Ford is holding back the juicy details and specs that we are all curious about. They aren’t releasing more information until closer to the release date which has been said to be later this fall.

Other fun facts is that there will also be a carry-over of the 6.2-liter V8 with the trucks and an updated, stronger edition of the Super Duty’s 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 Diesel. Drivers will also get to enjoy a 10-speed automatic transmission with the new engines. Also, to help the air flow of the engines, the trucks will now also have a new bumper and grille design.

When it comes to towing, Ford has not released any numbers yet, but it has been said that it’s competitor will be the Ram Heavy Duty where it has the towing capacity of 35,100 lbs and with it’s 1,000 lb-ft of torque. We have faith that Ford will out tow the Ram with it’s new Super Duty, but we must wait and see.
